Today we went to starship for our annual checkup with Dr Walsh for Josephs' feet. It is crazy to believe Joseph will be 8 next year. Some of the nurses are still around from when he was a little baby and they love seeing him and how grown he is.
Josephs right foot continues to be a superstar with no concerns or worries about its healing however his stubborn left foot is still giving him some issues. Today Dr Walsh felt that his heel is still quite tight and that his foot is still giving off a slight curve. He recommended that after summer (thank goodness or Joseph would have been miserable) that we come back in for some more casting on his left foot to encourage it to loosen up some more. If that doesn't do much good we may have to look at another surgery down the track.
Joseph is beginning to understand his treatment plans and was excited to hear he would be getting another cast - don't ask me why but he said it was because he could kick things really hard and it wouldn't hurt. Oh boy.
That's our update. I'll keep you posted on his next rounds of casting.
